Computer class this year has changed a lot, mostly because of how much effort they've given to the class. We started the year with a sweet teacher. Ms. Edward. Unfortunately, she had to go home very far because of personal business. After Christmas, another great teacher took Ms. Edward's place. Mr. Trudeu. These two teachers have supported my classmates and I and taught us many things we would definately need for our future. Great Year!

With Mr. Trudeu we put a lot of effort on our typing skills. We mainly focused on Mavis Beacon, a great typing program, continuing from where we had finished with Ms. Edwards. Later on, we discovered another web page. freetypinggame.net, which includes typing games, lessons, and tests. Our speed has improved a lot this year. We also focused on blogging. In a way, we became experts at it. We did bloggers of many kinds; we first did a blog about us just to improve our blogging skills since it was new for us. Then, we did a blog all about Mexico for our E.L.M International Day, and finally, we did a blog on E.L.M's daily activities. We also worked a little with meebo. We worked with powerpoint as well. We even did powerpoint presentations. There were judges and after waiting for about 4 classes which seemed like eternity, there were two winners, and each one received a Mc. Flurry provided by Mr. Trudeu. We worked with picassa as well, downloading photos and changing them in a way. We also played Tetris. A little bit of fun is not that bad. It made us think a lot though, making us change the little parts in order to fit at the bottom line and make it disappear. We had a lot of fun with this even though it was kind of hard to get past our goal of points. Apart from all this great and challenging activities, we tried other things like tiddly wiki. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. Overall, this second quarter has been terrific for my classmates and I! I hope that next year, even though Mr. Trudeu is not going to be incharged of this, students will have a great year with the new teacher, and that they learn more and become little experts at this challenges we have to face.

Starting the year with Ms. Edward we mostly worked on our typing. We mainly worked with Mavis Beacon and Typer Shark. This two games consist of our typing speed, as well as grammar. We also enjoyed creating our own web pages. It was hard at first to learn all the codes there are and every single detail in order to upload images, change the font or background color, etc... After working on that, we figured out that there was an easier way to create a web page without editing all those little details. We just wrote what we wanted in our web page and changed the colors. This program by itself created the codes needed to make a web page.
